Review Standards
What we look for
Every CV is evaluated against the same standards, applied consistently by the review engine. These are the categories we examine.
All essential contact details are present and correctly formatted.
The CV can be parsed reliably by applicant tracking systems.
Work experience appears near the top. Hiring managers read top to bottom — structure should reflect what matters most.
Each role is described in terms of business value delivered, not just tasks completed.
Outcomes are specific and measurable. Vague activity statements are flagged.
Each bullet contains an action, context or technology, and a result.
Repeated wording across roles and sections is identified.
Unsupported claims without evidence — "team player", "problem solver" — are flagged.
Projects are evaluated for relevance to the target role and whether they strengthen the application.
CV length is appropriate for the experience level. Sections are neither too sparse nor too dense.
Education receives appropriate emphasis relative to work experience.
